  • 3,000 MPH Meteorite Hits Boy in Germany: Gerrit Blank a 14-year old German boy, was on his way home from school when he saw a fireball from the sky heading straight towards him. The white-hot meteorite traveling at 3,000 mph hit the boy and bounced onto the ground so hard it left a 12 inch crater in the tarmac and a three inch scar on the boy's hand.
